The Slear™ family of Automatic Blanking Systems systems from Iowa Precision produce blanks to exacting sizes and tolerances from coil stock including mild steel, prepainted, embossed, galvanized, tin plate, aluminum, stainless steel and other ferrous or nonferrous metals. Equipped with Iowa Precision electronic controls for accurate, pre-set blank length and batch quantity, these systems feature a host of labor saving accessories such as coil handling equipment, single or double uncoilers, edge trimming, scrap choppers, and a variety of blank stacking systems that make them the industry leader in light to medium duty coil processing systems. Available in various configurations to suit your operational needs including the Slear I, Slear II, and Econoslear.
The Slear family of Automatic Blanking Systems from Iowa Precision includes the following configurations:
Slear I: Pneumatic flying shear, single speed, six speed or variable speed, D/C drive with 100 FPM (30 M/Minute) maximum speed, 6 roll straightener with models for coil widths of 48′ (1220mm) -60′ (1530mm), maximum thickness: 16 ga (1.6mm) mild steel
Slear II: Ideal for heavier duty blanking of coil stock. Blanks up to 10 ga (3.4mm) mild steel and up to 72″ (1,830mm) wide with blanking rates up to 100 FPM (30.5 M/min). Easily accessible, adjustable, chain-driven slitter section with operator access space and 4-roll straightening section provide flat multiples. Features electronic controls for pre-set blank sizes and batch counts. Accessories include edge trim rewinders, scrap choppers, and stacking systems.
Econoslear | 14 and 16 gauge: Electronic control, 2-speed hydraulic drive 25 or 50 FPM (7.5 or 15 M/min), hydrautic flying shear, 4-roll straightener, models for 16 ga (l.6mm) and 14 ga (1.9mm), 60″ (525mm) coil width capacity, cut length accuracy: ±032″ (0.8mm)
